Oil Valley Center for the Arts

The Oil Valley Center for the Arts (OVCA) began art classes in the Historic National Transit Building out of the interest in the community for creating art through classes taught.
Classes have been and continue to be taught by experienced artists and business professionals to increase awareness of the arts, and strengthen art businesses in our region. The OVCA continues to this day, to be the “educational” body of the Oil City Arts Council. (click here to view scheduled classes for summer)
Currently, most classes are held in conjunction with Oil Creek Earthworks Pottery Studio, located in the National Transit Building Annex on the ground floor.
However, the addition of 2 educational art classes were held at the Transit Arts Gallery & Gifts, in the National Transit Building, at the corner of Seneca and Center Streets in Oil City.
Due to Covid-19, and to meet regulations in place for the safety of all our patrons, the OVCA is expanding our availability of art-based instruction classes to include both online classes and on-site classes in different locations, for our patron’s enjoyment.
As always, on-site classes will be small (6-8 people based on location), allowing for better individual instruction, and safety regulations and online classes will have an unlimited patron registration. Online classes are available for view over and over again.
