Transit Art Gallery & Gifts (TAGG) (formerly known as the Transit Fine Arts Gallery) opened its doors in 1996 and is located on the ground floor of the Historic National Transit Building at the corner of Seneca & Center Streets in Oil City.
Our member based artist gallery houses and sells artwork and gifts from local and regional artists. Works range from paintings in many mediums, photography, pottery, jewelry, hand made soaps, woodworking, stained glass and more.
Today it is operated completely by Members of TAGG, who are the artists themselves.
As part of TAGG, a unique 2-sided, glass exhibit, named “The Butch Quinn Collection” can be viewed from the gallery. This exhibit honors Norman “Butch” Quinn an Oil City Native folk artist who gained national recognition with his outsider art.
We invite you and your friends to come experience our unique artwork, and meet our talented artists.
Membership Model
In July 2020, the Transit Arts Gallery & Gifts became a Membership driven organization whose goal is to support the local and regional art community.
Artists become members of the gallery by paying a monthly membership fee for special benefits; including, a commission free space to hang and sell work, and complimentary marketing and art classes.
