Jolly July Third 2021

The Oil City Arts Council is pleased to present its annual Jolly July 3rd Festival, set for Saturday July 3, 5 – 10 pm in Justus Park, downtown Oil City. The family-friendly event provides a festive evening of food, music and fun for all ages with plenty of room for social distancing and a spectacular view of the Allegheny River. This year’s activities include a kid’s magic show, balloon animals, dog obedience/agility demonstration, and mechanical puppet demonstration. The evening also features food vendors, live music by Mostly Brass and Lawyers, Guns & Money, and is topped off with Fireworks by Pyrotecnico sponsored by the Oil City Firefighters Local 700. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Event specifics are as follows:
5:00 – 6:00 pm Live music by Mostly Brass
5:00 – 5:30 pm Kids Magic Show by Real Magic Steve with balloon animals afterward
6:00 – 7:00 pm Clarion Canine Obedience Club: obedience and rally demos, dog agility and tricks, dog safety, information and meet and greet
7:00 – 10:00 pm Live music by Lawyers, Guns & Money
10:00 pm Fireworks by Pyrotecnico, sponsored by Oil City Firefighters Local 700
In addition, Greg Wilson will tour his mechanical puppets around the park, and food vendors will be present. Hand sanitizing stations will also be available. The musical performances and family entertainment for Jolly July 3rd is sponsored by the Oil City Arts Council, which will post event updates on its Facebook page.
