Bend in the River

Stacey Sopher has always loved using her creative mind from an early age. She has taken many art classes from local artists. At Westminister College she majored in Elementary Education and minored in Art. Her creative talents have made a unique classroom experience for her students. She is a first grade teacher for Oil City School District and has
taught for 30+ years. She has published eight books to date with her first graders. Her favorite mediums include graphite pencil, acrylic, watercolor and oil. She enjoys spending time outside and is inspired daily by God’s hand in nature. Landscapes are her favorite subject. She is inspired by shadows and sunlight dancing off of the sky, plants, water, rocks, etc. She loves to be around creative people and has
started a craft group with her neighbors. She and her husband reside in President Village, Tionesta PA.
